Ah, the Good Ol’ Days, When Toys Caused Neck Trauma
The very funny site Very Funny Ads is living up to its name, digging out this chestnut from 1965.
Be advised that you will probably have to hit yourself with a ball peen hammer to get the jingle out of your head.

I’m sitting here looking for one of those video rippers so I can re-edit that video to Ride the Lightning by Metallica.
Time and time again you hear about ads that are really funny, but almost to a fault. They’re so funny that folks neglect to remember what the commercial was actually selling. Not a problem here, eh? Where’s my hammer.

Why a ball peen hammer specifically? Why not a good old claw hammer, or even a framing hammer? That should really make you forget your troubles.

The “peen” is the opposite of the striking side of a hammer.
Whacking somebody or something with the ball would probably cause greater damage. However, swung at the proper angle the claw “peen” would be quite unpleasant.
Full disclosure- My son co-opted one of my cliches.
