And interesting enough...I don't think Mazda did enough research on that Zoom, Zoom jingle.

That tune and the words come from an old Capoeira song in Brasil. Capoeira is a martial arts/dance style from Brazil that was developed during Brazil's long period of slavery. The song is one of many that are sung or played during capoeira matches or displays.

Interesting enough, the chorus of the song, in portuguese is "zum, zum, zum, capoeira mata um" which, loosely translated means "zoom, zoom, zoom, capoeira kills one". The "zoom" generally thought to represent leg strikes or even the swing of a machete. The real song also has a line in it that translates roughly to "I am thankful for slavery because without slavery there would be no capoeira".

Mazda has been using that jingle for a couple of years. I would assume that someone told them where the song came from and what it means. I am surprised they are still using it.

I don't drive a Mazda but I do love Chipotle Burritos!

Hey Jason, I really like Chipotle as far as "fast food" or "fast casual" goes. It's not too expensive, tastes great, and is filling.

They started using naturally raised pork in 2001 and are trying to switch to naturally raised chicken and beef--trying, because they can't find enough supply to be 100% there yet, but their demand is helping increase the supply, which is good for us, the environment, the animals.

Their other ingredients are about the best you can hope for from a national chain. Steadily increasing supply of organic beans (25% so far, again, can't quite get enough supply yet), no rBGH in the sour cream, no artificial colors or flavors, no trans fats, no sugar other than some honey in the vinaigrette for the salads. They make their rice and guacamole fresh throughout the day, and they even have pretty good margaritas. McDonald's (which owns some of their stock) can't say that--have you seen the list of artificial ingredients JUST in the strawberry FLAVORING for their milkshakes? So, Jason, you oughta give Chipotle a try. :)

All that said, I have noticed the cool music when I go there. Not sure I'll be seeking out Chipotle Radio but the music in the restaurants is a lot better than many places I could go. I enjoy the art and architecture of their stores, too.

I've sent them emails asking about their products and offering suggestions, and have actually gotten personal responses, from the "vice president of duct tape" or something like that, which is nice. I like their quirky sense of humor...on their website you can "watch the avocadoes ripen" and "watch the chicken marinate" on their avocado and chicken cams.
